Rancho Santa Fe Library Zentangle Pumpkin Fun

This morning in beautiful Rancho Sante Fe in southern California, twenty ready for fall weather join me to create adorable Zentangle pumpkins called a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art).

Thanks to the Guild of Rancho Sante Fe Library in hosting and inviting me to share the Zentangle Method and supplying all the pumpkins from Michaels.  Without them there would be no classes.

This creative girl choose to write a message on her pumpkin."Happy Halloween  have a spook-tacular time!

This young boy had the best time and all his free style tangles.  Love his enthusiasm.

This five year old did a fantastic job and he was cute as a button

Some of my pumpkins:  some have been dripped with Alchol Ink then tangled.

This pumpkin I'm giving to my grandson, Bryce's kindergarten teacher for Happy Autumn

Kensngton Library Zentangle Puppy with Flower Class

Aloha, eight of my friends joined me in creating a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art).  That means, an art piece using the tangles from the Zentangle Art Method.  At this quaint little library in Kensington, SD, CA, we enjoyed two hours creating this adorable little puppy holding a flower.

Thanks again to the Friends of the Library for supporting this class and many others.  Without you there might not be no-fee classes at libraries for everyone.  Join a Friends of the Library if you would like to keep the classes going.  Go to this link to join.

Today in class I had a conversation with Ursula about a special project she is involved with.
Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are
seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

Kensington Library Zentangle Garden Fan

Wow, the summer is flying by but the weather is still warm. Today at Kensington Library in San Diego, So Cal, we created a Zentangle Garden Fan to help us cool off.

Eight participants join me to create a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art).  Using Tripoli, Dooleedo,
Cat-Kin, 'nzepple, Tipple, Mooka and Bijou we had a fun with the tangles, and then coloring in their piece.

A couple folks decided to leave black and white, which does justice to all the tangles alone.

Thanks to the Kensington Friends of the Library to sponsor these Zentangle classes.
Next classes
9/13/25 2-4pm
10/25/15 2-4pm
11/15/25 2-4pm

HAVE YOU TANGLES YET?

Kensington Library Zentangle Coloring Page

Typically, Zentangle art is black and white.  Being a meditative art method, when you apply color to
your art piece, it takes more thought process:  what implement, what color, where to apply.

Lots of folks like coloring.  Many of the coloring books were designed by CZT (Certified Zentangle Teachers).

Today in class, four participants created a whimsical coloring page using tangles and embellishments.
Just draw a string and add some tangles.

Next class at Kensington Library (in San Diego, CA) is a Zentangle Floral Summer Fan -

August 9th, 2-4.  Only 10 seats, call and register for class:  619-533-3974

Zentangle VW Bus

Summer is officially here in San Diego.  With summer here means travel time.  Today's Zentangle class at Kensington Library in San Diego was a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) of a VW Bus heading off into the sunset.

Seven participants joined in the fun as we learned some new and old tangles.   They took project home to color in sunset.  Great job ya'll.

July class at Kensington Library will be July 12th, 2-4.
The project will be creating a Zentangle coloring page.
Only 10 seats.  Call to sign up - 619/533-3974

Kensington Library - Back to Basics

Since getting certified in 2014, I have created a lot of different Zentangle and Zia's (Zentangle Inspired Art) art projects.  Certified Teachers always suggest getting back to basics often to remember the simplicity of this amazing art form.

Today, at this lovely little Kensington library in San Diego, California, we are creating a basic tile and going over the reason this art form takes the "hard" out of art.

Tangles:  Flux, Henna Drum, Printemps, Diva Dance, Huggins.
