Diva Challenge - Keeko

Diva Challenge this week..... Keeko tangle

I know it was a monotangle, but I couldn't resist adding more tangles.

Monday Funday Zentangle Club

Great weather, great friends, great tangling.  Awesome day at the Rancho Bernardo Winery for our monthly Monday Zentangle Club Day.  Denise brought a craft project to work on.
First we choose a dog or cat to assemble, then we glued and tangled (some are still in the making)  The animals came out so cute.
Seems there are more dog lovers than cat lovers though.  Meowwwwwwwwww

San Diego Botanical Garden Zentangle Class

One of my students texted me to say my Zentangle class was advertised in our local paper "Night and Day" page.  Sure enough, there it was.  That's pretty cool.  Thanks Botanical Garden and Sharon !

Our class today was an Introduction to Zentangle Art Method and we had a great time.  Sharing the history, and intention that all certified teachers are taught by the co-founders, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas at seminar,  makes this class full of Zen (relaxing) and tangles (patterns).

Didn't the students do a great job on their first Zentangle tile? (Sibylla didn't use her tiles (that is what we call the paper we tangle on), she said she was keeping them for art gifts for Christmas).  Now that was a first for me. FYI, us teacher have tile you can buy (and she did).

Remember - just the basic:  Border, string and tangles.  Simple as that !!!

Introduction to Zentangle class is like "kindergarten" just the simle basic instruction of Zentangle.
So why not do a fun animal that I always do with the "kids" I teach.
We tangled a tortoise today to go along with the garden theme..  Love them.

If you are in the area of Encinitas California, you should stop by the San Diego Botanical Garden.  This was just a couple pics I caught before class next to the classroom.  What a great place to stroll thru when you have some free time.  Special touches on all the displays they have throught out the park are well thought out and detailed.  Make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you go.  This place is huge.

Can't wait till next class next year

Aloha........

My front yard plumeria plants are loving this 80-90 degree hot spell we are having in San Diego.  You can hardly see Mr. Tiki behind them.  Boy, do they smell great.  Did you know that plumeria's have all different smells and some variety's smell stronger than other.  Go to the Southern California Plumeria site to find out more.

Come to my Zentangle Dream Catcher Class,  November 27th at my home, 12:00-2:00 and get some of this aloha spirit for the day !!!  Prepay on blog.

I'm sure glad I put in air conditioning last year.  It has been a blessing.  Mahalo
