San Diego 2nd International Yoga Festival 6/18/16

 Awesome day surrounded by health, fitness, meditation, art, and vegan food (the best tacos I've ever had) at Liberty Station in San Diego, Cali. 

I was asked to demonstrate the Zentangle Meditative Art Method today at the festival.  I love sharing  Zentangle.   When the folks sit down and say, "what is Zentangle?"   Then to see their eyes light up when they get "it".  They usually leave with a smile on their faces and asking more about the method.  Even the other art teachers hadn't heard of Zentangle..

Everyone has heard of the "adult coloring books".  FYI, same method, structured patterns on a page.  Hint... you can make your own coloring books with the Zentangle Method.  Many of the coloring books were written/drawn by Certified Zentangle Teachers (CZT's). 

Shout out to my daughter, Crystal (appropriate name for the day),  who assisted me with my demonstration today.

Friday Zentangle Line Dancing Class Today

Grab a partner and let's line dance. Today class was Zentangle Line Dancing.  We learned several new tangle:  Zenplosions folds, Zen bud, Stricles, Assunta, Crescent Moon, and tangleations of them. Best part:  finally nice enough to tangle on my lanai (patio).  Beautiful weather in Sunny San Diego.

Have You Tangled Today?

Each Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT),  tell our students.  When you are drawing,
it  isn't  "Zentangling"... that is the name of the method.  When you are drawing...
you are "tangling" !!! 

Today, 6/13/16, at San Diego Oasis - Macy's 3rd floor, in California, I introduced 15 folks (even Harold) to Zentangle.  

When are you going to start your Zentangle journey?  When you do -  remember Zentangle is more fun when you bring a friend.

WARNING COMES WITH CLASS:  Zentangle can be addictive!!!

Zensational Saturday ZenGem Class

Today's class was pure beautiful creating "gem's"  ZenGems.  The best way to learn to draw ZenGem's is of course take a class from me - get the basics down.   Then, when you proceed to watch tons of how-to YouTubes, it will all make more sense and then you can create your own technique. 

I borrowed the bracelet idea from someone on YouTube.  Couldn't find her name to post -sorry!!!  LOVE IT!!!

What else can I bling bling up?

Oasis -Escondido Senior Center

One of my favorite classes is when you ask if anyone taking the class has heard of Zentangle Art Method.  Today's class,  6/6/16 at the Oasis Senior Center in Escondido... not one person knew what they were getting into (usually one person has heard the word - but doesn't know what Zentangle is).  They had the "ah ha" moment when they learned a new exciting art meditation and can't wait for the next class.
