Tierrasanta Library Introduction to Zentangle Art Method

What a quaint library in Tierrasanta San Diego, California.
Last night, eight folks joined me to start their Zentangle journey

Favorite part of class for me, as always, not one person knew what Zentangle was before class
... and at the end I left them thirsty for more.
If you have been intimidated by art in the past.. this class is for you.
No experience necessary, no mistakes!!!

During the hour class we completed one tile (that's what Zentangle calls the paper) and the students learned five different tangles (that's what Zentangle calls the patterns).  The names of the tangles I taught today  were Crescent Moon, Hollibaugh, Cubine, Poke Root, Poke Leaf.  All the patterns have there own names.  So many tangles, so little time.  You can literally learn a new patterns everyday of the year.

This simple tile below, is just the beginning of what you can do with Zentangle Art Method.  I call Introduction to Zentangle,  Kindergarten Zentangle.  I teach about 30 different classes with the Zentangle Method.  Go to classes above to see classes coming up and all the fun you can have with this art method.

The center tile on this page was drawn by a young girl on our apprentice tile (just a little larger for the kiddo's).  Didn't she do a great job.

The class always has fun looking at each other's art and the interpretation of "no mistakes" in Zentangle art.

When are you going to start your Zentangle journey?
