This weeks challenge is by guest blogger Erin Olson CZT. Erin asked us to copy a pattern, apply on a Zendala (round) tile and tangle !!!
I choose to go to the dark side with a black Zendala and used a white Gelly roll pen along with a white charcoal pencil.
This is stunning, and so very delicate. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love your Zendala! You managed to make a black design look cheerful with your choice of tangles, and I love how you mirrored the design with the placement on your blue and white background. So cute!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic on the black. I like the Zingers around the outer edge too!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful Zendala! Love your choice of white on black, and the way you used the patterns. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteVery sophisticated, the zingers were the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteThis is very beautiful and lacy!!!
ReplyDeleteA very pretty tile !
ReplyDeleteDramatic and whimsical at the same time. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, although I'm not sure how you managed to transfer the string template onto your black Zendala tile. It reminds me of a magnified snowflake. Light and lacy.

ReplyDeleteTo transfer string onto template... using choosen string on white paper.. use graphite pencil on opposite side to darken image lines, then lay pencil side down onto black tile and use pen to trace original string. The graphite will press onto black tile and whaalaa you have yourself a string onto black tile.
Deleteit is very flowery with a touch of spring. I really like !
ReplyDeleteThis is beautifully done. I applaud your decision to do a black tile; it is striking.
