Diva Challenge - Weekly Challenge #330 - "Zentangle Plates"

Diva Weekly Challenge #330 - Guest Blogger Jeanette Clawson -   Zentangle Plates

The challenge was to make a mandala's (Zendala's) on four tiles  with plate like string and tangle then put together as a mosaic.

What a fun "tangle" day.  Susan Bowden and I  (we both became CZT's at the same time plus, close friends from High School), often get together and tangle.  Today, Susan suggested we tangle the Weekly DIVA CHALLENGE.  She had four  Zentangle original tiles awaiting us when I got to her lovely home over looking the Pacific ocean in La Jolla, Cali.

A side deal was it was the day of the SOLAR ECLIPSE (only partial view in Southern California).  I brought my paper with a pen hole in ready to see the marvel,  but to no avail.  Between the marine layer in La Jolla and not much sun, we got lost in our tangles. and didn't get the whole experience from the "moon shine".

I tangled two tiles and Susan tangled two and we brought our tangles together in a mosaic.  We put the four tiles together in different ways and had fun seeing the magic as we tuned our tiles.

Susan and I both agreed this would be a great class.  Can't wait for our next "get together".

  1. Beautiful tiles! I love the idea of sharing a plate with a friend. Your arrangement of the tiles in different ways is lovely to see the differences.

  6. I like the idea of a joint venture. I think I'll suggest it for our next session.

  7. Nice work. Is fun to work with someone else. Would be interesting to see if you used the same tangles in the same sections and saw the variance. Not to compare but to see how people approach the same tangle.

  9. How fun was that? I wish I had a tangle buddy near by. I had to go all the way to Birmingham, Engalnd, across The Pond from Philadelphia to tangle with Margaret Blank.
