Oasis - Grossmont/La Mesa in San Diego, stepped back in time with a Zentangle Cartouche class.
Cartouche (Kar-toosh) is an old word from 1548 that means elaborate ornate framing, used ornamentally or bearing an inscription, or of something important.
I had on hand a few black & white old timey photos (or they could bring their own), to create a renaissance style tile (that's what we call the paper).
Cartouche's are fun using the Zentangle Method. Whether around an old photo to put into a collage of picture, using a current photo printed in black & white/sepia, or a medal mounted on paper to draw around, the ideas are endless.
